Firstly, the team, one change in the starting line up - Hanson for Muller. Conditions are awful - it has been raining torrentially for over an hour and there is standing water on the pitch which is making the game a lottery. This could easily turn into an abandonment.

23 mins GOAL - Whitehouse swam down the left and forced a corner. Ball swung in and a scramble in the box saw Danny Ellis stab home from 5 yards. Since then Anthony Lloyd has missed a clear cut opportunity. Still torrential rain.

We've just been listening to BBC Radio Cumbria - game abandoned due to rain - no surprise there then! What happens - is it a full 90 minute replay?

35 mins - and the referee has abandoned the game with the score level at 1-1. An odd time to make the decision as he might as well have played until half time but the pitch was undoubtedly becoming unplayable and potentially dangerous for the players - a huge disappointment

Wouldn't it be a gesture of goodwill if Kendal reduced the entrance charges to the replay of this game seeing as how there was a lot of Guiseley supporters who travelled up there and paid to get in when the game should never have been started. I think the blame really lies with the Ref who should not have let the game start in those conditions. I know no one can control the weather but what happened to common sense.

Thanks CDP for the continued match reporting - it's good for fans who can't make a fixture to know how the match is going - keep up the brilliant work

Its a heck of a way to travel on a school night and I would think that unless some sort of gesture is forthcoming the crowd would be very thin for the replay which would be a shame.

Do the Unibond League not have a rule in place for this sort of eventuality as they seem to have for everything else,or is it left to the host club.
