One of the worst refs we’ve had but we won by two penalties so I guess all’s well that ends well.
Big result today and a bit like Tuesday, we finished stronger than we started.
I really like our habit of not dominating games but still winning them without conceding. I could watch that every week.

Another great win today to cap off a fine seven days with nine points from nine. Hebburn had the better of the first half but perhaps the best chance of the opening half fell to us. Elsdon forced Cracknell into a couple of good saves with shots from outside of the box. Purewal was found free at the back post but luckily the free scoring forward couldn’t generate any power on his header. Turner also headed straight into Cracknell’s grasp. With ten minutes left of the half we created our first chance, Longbottom’s free kick was only half cleared and fell to Moke who forced Hunter into a good save before Lawlor’s cutback was cleared off the line that was the closest either side had come to scoring so far. Brown shot just wide as we pushed on late in the half. In injury time Purewal saw his effort cannon off of the post after Cracknell got a finger tip to the shot. The second half got off to a slower start but 11 minutes in we had our first penalty when a cross was handled in the box. Longbottom stepped up and sent Hunter the wrong way to break the deadlock. It was so nearly 2-0 minutes later when Longbottom’s cross was headed back into the box for Lawlor but the defender missed the ball and the chance was gone. Hunter was also forced to stopping Longbottom’s free kick from heading into the top corner. Then with 15 minutes left it was 2-0 and game over, Thewlis fresh into the action ran into the box Hunter dashed off his line but missed the ball before a defender hacked at Thewlis to give away a second penalty. Longbottom again was the man to step up for the spot kick and he hit it the same way to double his tally for the afternoon. Bar a scuffle and a late call for another penalty when Thewlis was pulled down in the box off the ball we saw out the six minutes of injury time fairly comfortably. A good crowd of nearly 1000 in the ground too after 626 saw Tuesday night’s win. Well played Guiseley! We move on to Ashton United away on Tuesday night. Come on Guiseley! AB

It’s another impressive result. Hebburn are strong and look capable of pushing on. To win after being out of possession for long spells in that first half is really encouraging. I thought we showed again our ability to defend well and deserve yet another clean sheet. Injuries are a problem but the players filling into roles that they are not regulars at deserve a load of praise - Brown, Ible, and Ackroyd for example.
Great composure from Longbottom from the spot and some impressive performances in particular during the second half.
Good atmosphere in the clubhouse after the game. Continue this strong run into Christmas and we will be in a very strong position.

Definitely a case of Deja vu today. First half we started slowly , lost possession lots and seemed to struggle against strong opposition. Second half we dominated play and caused problems for Hebburn resulting in two penalties wonderfully converted by Will. Another 2:0 win and a move to 3rd place in the league. Fully agree with the MOTM decision - Prince was superb. Over 900 attendees - it’s feeling like the old days at Nethermoor!

We may not play well at times but our defensive strength means that we are unlikely to concede and so if we get a couple of chances at the other end then a win is on the cards.

A big 3 points. Prince was imperious again - a well-deserved MOTM. Thought Jake and Lebrun were outstanding as well.

I haven’t enjoyed it this much in a really long time.

Yeah another great result on the pitch, however pretty unsatisfactory/dangerous of it.
Still no explanation why alcoholic drinks can't be sold outside? Unlike every other team in the league?
Unfortunately what it lead to today was unsafe and dangerous in the bar area. Absolute Farsley-esque sham.

Still no explanation why alcoholic drinks can't be sold outside? Unlike every other team in the league? I don't think there is anything conspiratorial about this. My understanding is that there had been some sort of cock-up with the licence to sell alcohol for consumption outside the club house, and that an application has now been made to the licensing authority to rectify the matter.

Another result ground out by the lads yesterday against a very good Hebburn side. Thought we defended magnificently and thought Cracknell was outstanding. Think we are a match for any team in the league. Onwards and upwards.

It's been discussed before on here so I won't go into it again. However, I will say it creates a bottleneck/crush at half time as about 500 fans as yesterday attempted to buy drinks from the bar. It was impossible for people to get access to the toilets and there was a crush. If fans could buy a drink during the game and take it outside then obviously this would be staggered. Plus, all the extra revenue this would create. I don't see why it takes nearly 3 months to sort out a license. Bit of a joke if you ask me.

Another hard fought but ultimately deserved 3 points.
There is a great spirit in this side that digs in when under pressure then capitalises when team’s get frustrated and stretched.
By comparison Hebburn were a strong well organised side but it was interesting how they unraveled and became ill disciplined once they went behind.
Prince was colossal once again but it was a great team effort all round.
4 points from two tough away games coming up would be more than satisfactory.

That being the case I would have thought they couldn't sell drinks for consumption while watching cricket outside?
