Rumour mill tells me that Sturdy and Dunning will not be playing at Nethermoor next season. Neither will get their contracts renewed.
Hanson just pipped Sturdy to the player of the year award so it seems the manager is either going for young blood or has lost the plot - im guessing he thinks he's an Arsene Wenger in the making...

If the gossip is true this is a joke nathan for me has been consistantly good all year and i cant think why you would get rid of one of the best right backs in the league.......!

Nathan shud stay Wilford go Dunning go Sturdy stay AV Right so AB's sorted out those four, lets see about the rest. I think James will (I really must look this word up) stay if he doesn't leave & both Cotty & Skiba will return to Ossett unless they stay or go to another club. But then again, we could wait until everyone's been on hols, come back with batteries re-charged, reported to Mr Kittrick to be told about their future with GAFC or not, which is likely to be sometime in June. But what do I know. Rallyman

Thanks. That about covers every possible option, except retirement from football or death.

I agree with discoball, the players were contacted last weekend. Sturdy and Dunning have both been told they are not getting new contracts, I also think Hay is in the revolving door with them.

So this is it, officially, according to the Wharfedale:
It really is a root and branch demolition of the Dolan era players now...Let's just hope we don't regret some of the decisions made, but I still think Steve and Wayne know what they're doing - as scary as some of all this is....
In case you don't get to see the paper, this is an extract from The Wharefdale and Airedale Observer today:
"Kittrick had already started the rebuilding process in the season just ended in which Guiseley failed by one point to reach the promotion play-offs.
He brought in goalkeeper Piotr Skiba to replace Guiseley favourite Steve Dickinson and also added James Cotterill and Lee Pugh from his former club Ossett Town. He loaned out Dickinson and striker Gavin Knight.
Dickinson is understood to be signing this week for Leigh RMI who are also said to be interested in talking to the five players Kittrick has not offered contracts to.
They are Knight, central defender Simon Sturdy, midfielder Richard Dunning, defender turned striker Aron Wilford and right-back Nathan Hay.
Kittrick said: "I have offered those five players non-contract terms but none has got back to me and I believe Leigh RMI are interested in speaking to them."
Kittrick confirmed that centre-back Danny Ellis is tied to the club for next season and that he has already signed two new players with a further five considering his offer of terms".
