Not surprised that venue went back for them but would have thought that Bows and Bosh would have thought twice about accepting this poison chalice at a club with no money and a squad of players seriously out of their depth. "We have a lot of confidence in Mark and Danny" - well not in April you didn't!

Jamie wouldn’t leave us to go back there, would he? It’s just after 6am, and it’s not good for me to start getting worried so early in the day...

That's a very comforting thought to help me get through the rest of the day, thank you. I feel quite a bit calmer and far less worried now...

I don’t really understand what the owner of BPA wants from the club. One minute slashing the wage bill from I am led to believe £400k a season to £100k a season. Has he now totally changed direction and started pumping the money in again. It will all end in tears I believe as you can’t run any business let alone a football club in this way. Bowser is the third guy in the hot seat since the start of season and unless funds are available will probably not last until Christmas. With home support now below the 300 figure, they need to find their true level. As for them signing Jamie, I don’t think there is any chance of it happening.
Their fans seem deluded wanting Jamie back and Frank Mulhearn.

We've been through our fair share of that trouble last season, and the reduction wasn't as deep as that - not sure a team would survive in the Glue League Premier on £100k of playing budget. That's about £2k a week for the whole squad (if they do it over 40-something weeks of the year as a part-time club). Mark's no dummy though - he'll have had answers to those questions before proceeding. I don't understand the infighting, though. Or maybe that's normal, and we stuck stuck together incredibly well when things were messy at Guiseley. It doesn't help that their forum admin has been banging the drum for the numpty CEO who broke the club up and now, with Mark back, doesn't really have any face left to save.

Jamie Spencer leaving is only happening in the case of an upward move with some money behind it.. SURELY.
Unless the EFL come knocking I can’t see him going anywhere.

Not so much pertaining to a ‘rival’, but it was interesting news to hear today that Wayne Benn, formerly of this parish and assistant manager to Mr Kittrick, has left Hemsworth Miners Welfare to become the new manager at Ossett United...

Without wishing to make light of a dreadful situation, I can't help thinking of Benno as the bloke who escaped from the Titanic only to be picked up by the Lusitania. www.gofundme.com/f/SaveOurGround

Was a good keeper for us and kept us up in the final game of the 16/17 season with a penalty save and a late double save. He played for Knaresborough for a bit but other than that he has been out of football, should do well for you. AB

Better than Joe Green IMO but wasn’t ready to be first team every week when he was with us. Interesting signing but it’d be hard to predict how good he’ll be at this level now. I know he’s been playing some local cricket as well as playing for Knaresborough.

Nice guy but not good enough would be my simple assessment However he was very young when he played for us. Presumably a back-up rather than first choice, given he’s not carried on playing since leaving us
