Wondering if Guiseley Juniors giving their backing to the proposed pitch at Guiseley School has any bearing? See the school is facing a full and lengthy process to get anything moving on their proposals. Seems a planning nightmare for the school.

Difference is that Nethermoor is an established football ground that is used on regular basis throughout the season and essentially all we are doing is replacing a grass pitch with an all weather facility, albeit with some additional provisions. Whereas the school is seeking to develop a facility on what is currently an open playing field that to my knowledge they have only recently started taking an interest in.

Yeah I'm not aware of other non-league clubs struggling to get permission to switch surfaces - unless anyone knows any different?

Point of interest I understand talking to Cam Mason that his wrist was broken last Thursday training on plastic pitch it got stuck and other injuries because there's no give in it. Just a thought.

Sorry the plastic of course. He's proved to have supple wrists!

Still no news from the club on the pitch supposedly being installed this summer. Anyone have any updates on this?

Target date is 3rd July so pushing it for start of the season.
If we are going to be playing away from Nethermoor for several weeks I hope supporters are told sooner rather than later.

Wow - that’s really late. No real idea how long it takes to “bed down” but would i guess mean having to play away from home for pre-season and early party of season. Pleased to hear its happening mind

The place I play 5 aside had new 3G pitches in within a week I think (we didn't have to miss a game). They are lovely when freshly down.. like a velvety carpet.
Is the raising of the walls still going ahead? I thought that was a pre-requisite due to the cost if a trespasser damages the pitch.

Perhaps as a thank you gesture, the club could allow fans to bring a ball and have a go before the first game next season…

Any news on new dressing rooms club offices that was in pipeline. Coperate hospitality is to bring extra money into club instead of shoving sponsors in a portacabin we need to focus on .

Great to see that planning application has gone in. Approval for a new pitch is more complicated than it might appear on the surface - fingers crossed for an early decision as it will involve a lot of work to install.
