Where is Laurence Sorhaindo?? Think he’s still injured. Pretty sure I saw him wandering around Nethermoor with Lewis W at last game

That's right, Laurence is currently out injured but does regularly attend our games. AB

Welcome to Luke Mariette who has arrived on loan from Blackpool until the end of the season: guiseleyafc.co.uk/lions-loan-in-luke-mariette/Luke made his debut against his former club Macclesfield on Saturday and scored an early second half equaliser against the Silkmen. Meanwhile leaving the club is defender Courtney Meppen-Walters who has joined Nantwich Town for an undisclosed fee after a spell on loan with the Dabbers. Good luck Courtney! AB

See we've signed another winger on loan, Michael Afuye from Rochdale. which I think that makes at least five players in that position. Surely I can't be the only person hoping to see that Mr Welsh is shaping the team to mimic the traditional monumental successes of British football. Ruddy heck - we invented the game! Forget about Alf Ramsey and his wingless wonders, we want Stanley Mathews and Tom Finney and the full-blooded guts and thunder of a 2-3-5 formation. We might leak 9 goals by not bolstering the defence and midfield, but by golly we'll score 10 with that lot up front! God save the Queen! And yet another winger signed - Adam Dawson from Atherton Collieries. We'll soon be able to turn out a revolutionary 0-0-10 formation, with the potential to split the front line from between 1 to 10 players on either wing to create innovative attacking possibilities. We just need a few more to fill the subs bench.
As an aside - how many players have been on the books this year? I get the sense we must be rapidly heading to the 40s, 50s and 60s we've seen in recent years.

Hard to argue. I’m thinking 40+, it doesn’t yet feel like last season although there are 3 months left….

Hyde and Robbie Savage’s Macclesfield are the anomaly there, most of the playoff chasing teams have used fewer players and the train wreck clubs have used loads. But Hyde and RSM suggest that’s correlation rather than cast iron causality.
We’re mid table, and let’s hope this is the only table that’s true in come spring.

So yet another winger, this one long in the tooth,in the upper age bracket and been round the block and the lower league circuit more than once it appears, so I guess we'll see. What I don't get is why do managers who know what they're taking on insist on changing it all,it's always my way or the highway, why can't they just do the job they're paid to do and manage rather than trying to constantly make the hole round.
