Loan Players - perhaps before the season starts we might be able to get CMW and BSB back again. I suppose their parent clubs are looking at a number of offers for them.
Released Players - Cassidy wasn't good enough in my opinion. He seems a similar type of player as Weghorst at Man United. Lots of effort and endeavour but far too little end product. George Smith should have stayed but there is clearly an issue between player and manager there.
Offered contracts - Good options here, although a little unsure about Murphy. Jury is out on him a bit.
Players Invited - think its time to cut our losses with Kellett, he simply cannot stay fit for any length of time and our downfall this season was that we didn't have quality options to come into the team when injuries and suspensions hit. We can't afford to carry him for another season. Outside of that would like to see Daly, Damba and Hey sign up.

I'm delighted to see Courtney Meppen-Walters has signed for next season. He puts me in mind of former Tranmere defender Steve McNulty, one of the best I've seen at Nethermoor, who looked like an old fashioned no-nonsense policeman, with a passionate "no pasarán" (they will not pass) attitude. CMW gives his all, and takes no nonsense from any quarter.

Did he play for York after Tranmere or am I confusing him…

Courtney is just pure class. He might not be the fittest player on the pitch but his positioning is fantastic so he doesn't need to go far. At one stage last season he was our main playmaker, those outside of the boot diagonal balls were a real outlet.
I'm really pleased he's signed up.

You can see his background at Man City in his calmness on the ball and the way he can pass. He's a superb player.

Courtney Meppen-Walters has signed a new contract with the club following a spell on loan last season: guiseleyafc.co.uk/meppen-walters-signs-lions-contract/The defender said: “Some players see Phillo as being a bit harsh with them but he and Kayde just want to breed leaders and winners. You need to be up for the challenge and if you don’t understand that than perhaps you shouldn’t be playing. They only shout at you because they want you to do well. “I am happy that they have shown confidence in me by offering me another contract and I am happy to sign it as I have confidence in them to bring us success. I have really enjoyed my football with them and I feel that we can go on and do something next season,” he added. Read more in Rachel's interview on the link above. AB

Three brilliant signings so far, lets hope we can get a couple of 15-20 goals-a-season strikers next!

I'm calling it now.. we're getting promoted as champions this season!
Prince was probably the player I was most disappointed to lose when we went down. His energy in midfield will make a huge difference for us this season.

Perhaps we could get Mbeka too?!?

I wonder what this means for Daly, Chips and Leigh W For me Tongue & Prince are starters I’m thinking 4-3-3 although i think manager prefers 3-5-2 So … A CF to replace Jake C (with his wages - maybe we can aim high) A LB/LWB Kwarme to re-sign as RB Leigh Whelan to resign as CM/RWB A CB for the 3 at the back Kallan to resign to play alongside new CF Hagie to sign on as No 2 Happy Days

Think we also need Callum Chippendale back to add some guile in midfield.

Good signings that we have made so far, I am not getting carried away with predictions for 23/24 season, (not yet anyway).
With Macclesfield in our league anyone finishing above them will win the title but thats a big ask.
Also Radcliffe & Gainsboro are building good squads and will probably be play-off favourites if nothing else.
Hence personally, I think a play-off place will be the aim and if that is achieved I'll be a happy Guiseley fan.
Could throw in a decent cup run to boost the coffers also as a bonus please.
