Thanks for the research, but you've not dampened my hopes, Andy. You're not describing the next Aaron Martin... you're describing a major breakout season where he could've been picked up by a bigger club, followed by injury and a handful of good performances before indeed being picked up by a bigger club. So, you're actually telling me he's the next Lewis Whitham  I think we can agree that he's definitely 50% Aaron Martin and 50% Lewis Whitham, all the best attributes of each. ..and I won't take off my rose tinted glasses until the 12th of August. |

lol, I headed here to say "Massive signing"
Chesterfield fans seemed to cult worship him.. or hate him. Their forum seems pretty split on whether he's the second coming or useless. Suppose it depends whether you want a big slow forward who will win everything in the air and score regular. Didn't start much for Alfreton last season.

Been around the block a bit and knows where the goal is unlike a striker we had last season who won most headers but only scored one goal.

I would assume Billy Heath was spoiled for choice with Matt Rhead too? It’s a while since we’ve had a striker with a track record of goals so hopefully he’s looked after himself while not playing much and we see him score a dozen or more. |

While I obviously wish the lad all the best, he's already had knee surgery at 23 years old. I'm always very wary of players who have had surgical interventions on their knees. While I appreciate surgical techniques have made huge leaps in recent years, human physiology has not evolved greatly. We've already got Lewis Whitham on long term rehabilitation. Incidentally, have the club signed a replacement physiotherapist yet? |
