Also remember him receiving a throw out from keeper Gary Cox and hitting a superb crossfield pass into the path Andy Armitage, who hardly had to break stride to score a wonderful goal. This was against Rossendale Utd in the 1989/90 FA Vase and remember Micky Adams shaking his hand in admiration for the skill he had shown.

Osebi Abadaki has joined the club after leaving Stalybridge Celtic recently: guiseleyafc.co.uk/lions-sign-osebi-abadaki/The 31 year-old forward has racked up plenty of experience over his near 16 year career and he got off to the perfect start with a goal on debut at Marske. Also joining the club is 21 year-old winger Alfie Moulden from Weston-super-Mare: guiseleyafc.co.uk/lions-sign-alfie-moulden/Born in Bradford the forward has decided to move back north to play for the Lions, he made his debut off the bench at FC United of Manchester on Tuesday night. There has also been a couple of confirmed departures. Starting with Cooper Skerry, the Australian goalkeeper has returned to his homeland, good luck Cooper! Meanwhile Nat Crofts has signed a one month loan deal with Brighouse Town with Zak Dearnley signing for New Mills on a dual reg to boost his match fitness after recovering from injury. We have had another busy period of incomings and outgoings! Firstly welcome to Mark Lees, the experienced midfielder joined the club following his release from Matlock Town: guiseleyafc.co.uk/phillips-adds-lees-to-lions-squad/Mark has played for a host of clubs in the Manchester area and is well known to Paul Phillips. Also arriving is Scott Bakkor from Atherton Collieries: guiseleyafc.co.uk/phillips-gets-his-man-with-bakkor-arrival/Bakkor has signed a contract until the end of the 2023/24 campaign and has netted nine goals this season so far for Atherton, the 28 year-old striker has played for a number of non league clubs. The club also added Benni Smales-Braithwaite on a one month loan deal from Barrow: guiseleyafc.co.uk/smales-braithwaite-arrives-on-loan/ Benni came through Man City and Southampton's academies before signing for the Bluebirds, he has already had loans with Gloucester City, Warrington Rylands and Curzon Ashton. Finally also joining the club is experienced centre back Jack Higgins. Jack has been playing for Barnoldswick Town this season but has previously featured for Farsley Celtic, York City, Warrington Town and many others. Welcome to Guiseley Mark, Scott, Benni and Jack! There has also been a few depart the club starting with Zak Dearnley who has joined Stocksbridge Park Steels. The striker was on a dual-registration deal with New Mills but has now made a move to South Yorkshire. Angus Chapman, who arrived in November, has left the club. The striker has moved back to Australia. Kareem Hassan-Smith has returned to Barnsley following the end of his loan move. The right back has had a spell out through injury and is now back with his parent club. Alfie Moulden has moved back down to Devon after a short stint with the club. The winger made five Lions appearances all from the bench. Ekow Coker has joined Clitheroe. The centre back arrived during Danny Forrest's tenure as manager but has opted to leave to boost his playing time. Osebi Abadaki has joined Avro on a dual registration deal. The winger did come off the bench though in our defeat to Radcliffe on Saturday.
