Brian Dove was recently made a Life Member of the club:
After 32 years Brian has stepped away from volunteering at the club and is taking a well deserved rest.
Congratulation Brian, your recognition is greatly deserved. AB

The merry round goes on - 3 more loanees take Georges' place ( first time I have heard a club captain put out on loan ! ) hard to find allegiances to anyone these days - we are becoming a Guiseley All Stars formation !!! But maybe "Stars" is the wrong description.

My abiding memory of George Smith is of him being on the end of a terrible challenge a couple of home games ago, and yet hobbling round in obvious pain whilst still trying to battle on for the team. I do hope he hasn’t left under a cloud of bitterness. I’m not sure I like the feel of what’s happening at the club, and I hope we don’t risk losing the essential character and nature of our being in the pursuit of what looks like ‘success’. Any goal which costs you your soul isn’t a goal I’d like to pursue.

Strange goings-on with our captain being loaned out. Can understand the loanees if Cam is injured & others are injured, suspended & on international call-up gives us the cover we would need to finish the season as best we can.
Think it could be an interesting summer break for Guiseley with comings & goings as Mr PP builds his squad. Hopefully it won't be an "all change" like the start of this season, but who knows.

With nothing left to play for, and all the recent comings and goings, the remaining games have a bit of a "pre-season feel" about them.

Was going to invite friends to join us for non league day but not sure I could endure the embarrassment of having to say who knows when asked about yet another new player on the pitch and no idea when asked why season long players and a captain to boot are out on loan.
A bland statement from the club re comings and goings doesn't exactly endeare either management or directors to the income producing supporters,I thought we had moved on from mushroom growing. Purchase of my season ticket next year, who knows.

Could our club captain's departure be anything to do with an additional payment clause about to be triggered in his contract?

Smith is a tidy footballer. Need to trust the manager to assemble his squad in the off season and see what happens. Not sure any club can achieve any form of success with all the comings and goings we've had over recent seasons.

Strange one the George Smith departure. The manager already stated that the building for next season as already started so will be eager to see where we are this time next season with a full preseason under his belt with his own squad. If we are top of the league by ten points not many will complain. Onwards and upwards.

Seemingly Adie states club have put out a statement re comings and goings, injuries and future plans,am I the only one can't find it on official site. Yes we all understand the reasons behind changes but as usual it's a reaction to comments from supporters not a release at the time of announcement.

Unless Adie is referring to the Facebook post about the four new loan signings, I can’t find it either. The club might have a reason for keeping a few personal player matters to themselves, but it wouldn’t do any harm to post a ‘rallying call’ for the fans because we’ve had a few nasty things to stomach in the past couple of weeks.

Four new players joined the ranks last week and three of them made their debuts against Belper Town. Harrison Nejman has signed from Barnsley, the midfielder captains their U21 side and has come through the ranks with the Tykes. Two players have signed on loan deals from Sunderland, defender Ethan Kachosa and goalkeeper Adam Richardson. Finally signing on dual-registration from Buxton is goalkeeper Morgan Bacon. Also making his debut on Saturday was Ben Woods on dual registration from Wythenshawe Town.
The full back as plenty of non league experience, welcome to the club Ben!
